Wonderful venue! Perfect atmosphere for the style of my wedding. I loved being able to have my ceremony and reception in the same building but have different spaces for them each. Had some trouble with the photo booth but the owner came in to fix it. Wish it would have been tested and fixed ahead of time because it wasn't fixed until leter in the evening.

I love the linen building and think it is one of the best venues in Boise. I am very happy that we went with it for our wedding venue. When we originally booked the venue, maybe ten months before our wedding, we worked with a really great girl who seemed to have it together in terms of her job and overall customer service. At some point another girl took her place and she was much more difficult to work with. Things like not returning phone calls, double booking appointments and staring at us with a blank look on her face when we showed up and letting us problem solve for her how to handle the fact that she double booked people, booking our original rehearsal time during another event, etc. Thankfully our wedding wasn't double booked. The photo booth there is annoying to use and if I could do it over I would rent one from somewhere else. It takes cash, which is a pain in itself, but we tried to make it cute and rolled up a bunch of three $1 bills and put them in a basket by the photo booth. I think it ended up being "closed" like five times because people were having trouble inserting the money, and we didn't get as many fun pictures out of it as we had hoped, so if this is something important to you, like it was to us, I would highly suggest renting one from somewhere else that won't be cash operated and that you'll get digital copies of as well. The print quality of them was pretty poor and very dark too, and it only gives you one strip of pictures, when most photo booths give you two. I know others complained about having to go with their caterer and bar service, and while that did not bother me so much, I can see how it would if you were planning on something else. Open table's food was really good and I was pretty pleased with that part. Overall I think it's the best indoor venue in Boise. Just be prepared to be persistent and double check everything you're told if you're working with Erica.

The LB was my absolute dream location for my event. My FI and I were very excited to book. However, throughout the process of our wedding planning we became more and more disappointed with this place. There's NO denying this is one of the most beautiful venues in Boise. And honestly, the layout and style was perfect for our event. That's what we loved about it. But what is frustrating is that they know this and they will try to take every dollar you are worth. You must use Open Table as the caterer, and you must use Boise River Catering unless you'd like to fork over 500 to use another caterer. On the day of my event we went to decorate and we were pulling tables and chairs out of their storage ourselves, when we were told this would already be done for us, the lady who runs the LB was just standing around, and then she disappeared. My bridesmaids, and my family were in shock considering what we paid to rent this place for a few hours and the lack of assistance we received. All of the tables and chairs are very old and beat up, missing the crossbars, nails sticking out, etc. I was so worried my dress would get snagged on one of the screws. One of my bridesmaids was fixing the EXIT sign that was hanging by electrical cords from the ceiling...a bit tacky...All the furniture upstairs in the lounge room is old and beat up also. It's clearly furniture from IKEA and would not cost much to replace. All in all, the venue has a nice location, and cool downtown vibe. But I would really consider some things before booking with them - especially if you have a day event - as these little things will be noticed. Be prepared to pay more than you were anticipating, and get everything they tell you in writing.

Positives: The Linen Building is a beautiful place and perfect for a ceremony/reception wedding. It is already decorated, so it is entirely unnecessary to dress it up. Also, if you have family from out of town you can not beat the fact that it is directly next door to the Modern Hotel (which gives a discount when you book with The Linen Bldg). The owner David Hale was very accommodating, he really worked with us and was very helpful. He was very organized and had many great ideas on playing with the space. Some negatives: It is a little more pricey than some places. They have only one preferred caterer and you have to pay $500 if you'd like to go with another one. The space upstairs is an art gallery and unfortunately for our wedding some of the art was not quite wedding tasteful, so it had to be covered with sheets.

Venue was beautiful and you cannot beat the location! My only complaints would be that David Hale was a pain to work with and they redecorated the venue after I had paid in full and spent thousands on my decor.

the owner of the facility is very kind, and willing to work with you to get exactly what you want for your wedding. The dates are like anywhere else, it just depends on how fast you talk to them to book the space before someone else does. And there are 2 floors to the building, so you could have a more intimate or larger party if you would prefer, or even use both rooms, one for one thing and the other for another.

I could not have more pleased with how wonderful The Linen Building was to work with for our August 2, 2008 wedding. The owner, David Hale, went above and beyond to help coordinate our big day. Although it is more expensive than other venues, it is well worth it!
