Cakewalk Custom Cakes was wonderful to work with and I absolutely loved my cake. The cake was delivered to McCall on time, it was put together on site and Ruth stayed part of the afternoon to move it to the outdoor location of the reception. The lemon and raspberry combination tasted incredibly and the cake was very moist.

Delicious and beautiful! We had our tasting with Ruth and she told us we could choose 3 flavors and she'd bring them. We chose carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, lemon cake with lemon curd filling and butter cream frosting, and chocolate cake with raspberry marshmallow cream filling and butter cream frosting. She brought 3 6" round cakes with all the fillings and toppings right into our home and we tested cake while sipping champagne and getting to know Ruth. She is creative, talented, personable and she doesn't allow herself to get overbooked. She even made us a personal honeymoon cake!

We can't say enough great things about Cakewalk Custom Cakes! The cake was absolutely beautiful and definitely the most delicious cake we've ever had. The cake design came out exactly how we envisioned and even better than we could have dreamed. We received so many compilments on the cake from our guests. Cakewalk Custom Cakes truly went above and beyond for our wedding! Our wedding cake was a 3 tier fondant cake decorated with handmade sugar flowers. We chose almond pound cake with amaretto cream filling and lemon pound cake with lemon curd filling. Not only was the cake delicious, but the execution was flawless. The sugar flowers were the highlight of the cake and added that extra designer touch we were looking for. Our groom's cake was chocolate Kahlua cake with chocolate ganache filling covered in chocolate fondant. We had Ruth design the groom's cake to look like a turntable as an homage to the groom's love of music and his extensive vinyl record collection. The cake was so realistic that people often mistake it in the photos for the DJ table! It added a bit of whimsy to the wedding and was a great conversation piece...until it was devoured. There were no abandoned pieces of cake sitting around the reception hall - in fact, many guests confessed to having 3 slices of cake because all the flavors were so delicious and they wanted to try each one! Ruth's cakes are extra flavorful and moist. Her frosting is the best I have ever tasted. Admittedly, I have never been a cake lover until trying Cakewalk. Ruth was also a pleasure to work with. The whole process was worry free. We brought her our basic ideas and she consolidated them into two very beautiful cakes that reflected the style and personality of our wedding perfectly. She really listened to our ideas and was able to work easily within our budget - she even has a line of cakes designed for a smaller budget! All in all, I would wholeheartedly recommend Cakewalk Custom Cakes to any bride to be! The combination of a beautiful cake that tastes equally as good is every bride's dream!
